Endless Creativity in Community
“When others say, 'That’s good enough,’ we say, ‘Disability Supports will do it better.’ Our facilities are beautiful, warm and inviting. Our staff members are long-term employees who form deep bonds of care and friendship with clients. The quality of our programs and therapies is unsurpassed.”
Rick Staab, President & CEO
The Clayworks
Located in the close-knit communities of McPherson and Hutchinson, in the heart of Kansas, The Clayworks is a creative hub for artists of all abilities. Inside, clients of Disability Supports are the artists, creating handcrafted ceramic products, and making their pieces available for sale. The Clayworks retail galleries, art studios and community spaces are a natural, entrepreneurial extension of our commitment to supporting a full and complete life for all we serve.
One Door North/Midtown Galleries
Adjacent to the Clayworks in McPherson (in fact, just one door north!) is our flagship creative space and gallery. Disability Supports clients of all ages and abilities create, display, and sell their artwork alongside professional artists from Kansas and beyond.
Our Midtown Gallery in Hutchinson continues the creative tradition. Located inside the Clayworks on Main street, the gallery features art created by DSGP clients, as well as local and regional artists.
In each gallery, Disability Supports artists earn 100% of the proceeds from each piece they sell. Our primary goal is to facilitate beautiful experiences in a supportive and creative environment.
Culinary Arts
The world of food comes alive through our Culinary Arts program and demonstration kitchen inside of The Clayworks in Hutchinson.
Cosmoworks
Cosmoworks is an exciting collaboration between The Clayworks and the Cosmosphere International SciEd & Space Museum, providing STEAM-based education and opportunities for The Clayworks’ artists and community.
Scuttlebutts
Whether you’re looking for a morning boost or a mid-day pick-me-up, Scuttlebutts Coffee Shop is the perfect place to relax, connect, or recharge. Located inside of The Clayworks in Hutchinson, guests can enjoy delicious beverages in an artful setting, surrounded by the creative output of our Clayworks artists.
